M-F 8am-5pm
Must be able to sit on-site, shifts may be flexible
WEEKEND work requirement* (1-2 weekend days a month max for a about 3-4 hours total)
Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends (infrequent late nights up to 8:00 PM).
- The ideal candidate is a recent Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate in a life sciences field with hands-on laboratory experience, particularly in mammalian cell culture and/or protein purification techniques.
- The hiring manager places strong emphasis on practical experience in protein purification especially in filtration, chromatography, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UFDF) performed at various scales.
- While cell culture experience is valued, candidates with a stronger foundation in protein purification will be prioritized.
- Candidates should also be familiar with designing experiments and analyzing scientific data using data visualization and analytics software (e.g., Graph Pad Prism, JMP, Spotfire, or similar tools), and should be prepared to speak to their experience using these platforms.
- Success in this role requires someone who is eager to learn, highly trainable, and motivated to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is the ability to confidently discuss past lab experience in interviews.
Job Description
- Work in a team environment to contribute to drug substance process development.
- Contribute to technology development projects to seek continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.
- Execute mammalian cell culture experiments at different scales in shake flasks, culture bags and bioreactors.
- Execute purification experiments, mainly filtration, chromatography and UFDF, at different scales.
- Program automation for process equipment including benchtop bioreactors, chromatography systems, and robotic liquid handling systems.
- Execute process/equipment troubleshooting.
- Design experiments and analyze the data using visualization and analytics software.
- Document experimental data in lab notebooks.
- Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
- Relevant hands-on lab experience in cell culture or protein purification.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Experience with data analysis tools
Pay Rate between $27 - $31/Hr on W2 based on experience.
