Project Manager

Location: Onsite - Thousand Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $65/$74 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Drive and coordinate department communications and digital media initiatives that align with strategic business objectives for a big biopharma leader. Blend strong project management, creativity, and digital expertise to deliver engaging communications for both internal and external audiences. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across corporate functions, ensuring effective messaging, consistent branding, and digital innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of communication and digital media projects, from concept to execution
  • Establish and track detailed project plans, timelines, and dashboards for performance monitoring
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accountability
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Develop targeted messaging and partner with business leaders to reinforce enterprise priorities
  • Ensure brand consistency and standards across digital and corporate communication channels
  • Plan and deliver internal communications campaigns and executive communications support
  • Create and deploy digital media assets (web content, newsletters, social posts, videos, infographics)
  • Integrate and optimize digital platforms and tools to enhance collaboration and storytelling
  • Apply analytics and dashboards to measure communication effectiveness and inform improvements
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and support digital upskilling and best practices


Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing communication and digital media projects in a corporate or enterprise setting
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Stream, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams, Tableau, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar digital tools
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging narratives
  • Strong project management skills with familiarity in Agile or hybrid methodologies

  • Manage communications and digital media projects from planning through execution

  • Apply change management principles to support communication initiatives


Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
