Summary of the Role
Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Supply Chain Manager focused on procurement and inventory management. You will lead the process of acquiring materials, executing supply plans, and maintaining inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize waste. The position is hybrid, with onsite work required 1-2 days per week in Holly Springs, NC. This is a key strategic role partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless supply chain operations and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate short-term and long-term inventory goals and management objectives to manufacturing teams
- Develop and implement inventory management tools, solutions, and methodologies to meet corporate site targets
- Monitor and revise inventory levels based on demand and supply variability, and track monthly performance metrics
- Establish and evolve supplier relationships for assigned commodities and service providers
- Procure materials through purchase orders, blanket orders, or vendor-managed inventory using SAP, Rapid Response, Ariba, or similar systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production planning to maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and master data
- Release forecasts and orders to suppliers, analyze and report supply and demand data to stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional efforts to address material releases and inventory shortages
- Support issue resolution and coordinate with stakeholders as needed
- Generate, review, and update SOPs, compliance records, and maintain purchasing documentation per cGMP standards
Required Experience & Skills
- Proficient in inventory processes using SAP or other ERP systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in procurement, supply planning, and inventory management within a regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of supply chain planning principles and inventory management theory
- Experience handling single-use production parts and/or chemicals in the biotech or healthcare industries
- High proficiency with computer systems, including SAP, Rapid Response, Excel, and Smartsheet
- Understanding of cGMP guidelines and raw material qualifications for the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data science skills
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across multiple levels
- Project management experience
Top 3 Must Have Skills
1. Supply chain experience including procurement, planning principles, and inventory management or equivalent in engineering, manufacturing, or quality functions
2. Experience managing single-use production parts and/or chemicals/excipients in the biotech/pharma industry
3. High proficiency with computer systems (SAP, Rapid Response, Excel, Smartsheet or comparable)

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
- Master’s degree and 2 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
