Summary of the Role
Join the R&D Business Analytics team at a large biotech pharmaceutical leader, driving innovation and providing actionable business insights. Collaborate with stakeholders across R&D, operations, and finance to optimize organizational performance. Deliver strategic recommendations and support the development of impactful analytics solutions in a science-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and present complex data and insights to support R&D and business objectives
- Monitor, track, and report on organizational and departmental performance using dashboards and KPIs
- Collaborate with R&D SMEs, Operations, Finance, and other business partners to define requirements and value for analytics solutions
- Lead business analysis activities including process mapping, gap analysis, and recommendations for improvement in R&D operations
- Support leadership with regular performance updates, insights into gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate stakeholder communications and ensure alignment on goals, deliverables, and product features
- Develop and maintain documentation for analytics processes, configurations, and changes
- Apply knowledge of technological tools, data structures, and analytics to diagnose and improve performance while supporting team development
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or business performance roles, preferably within R&D or scientific environments
- Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (expert in Excel and PowerPoint), and MS Teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to work collaboratively across global, virtual teams
- Proven record of driving business performance and achieving results in R&D or technical domains
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
- Experience in business, financial, operations, or analytical roles
- Strong analytics, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for technology, innovation, and customer success, especially with AI and data-driven solutions for R&D
- Experience with dashboard creation, KPI tracking, and performance reporting for leadership
- Immediate availability with undergraduate degree in Finance and Data Analysis skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and present complex data and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders supporting R&D and business objectives
- Monitor, track, and report on organizational and departmental performance using dashboards and KPIs with a focus on R&D projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with R&D SMEs, Operations, Finance, and other partners to define requirements, scope, and value for new analytics solutions
- Lead business analysis activities including process mapping, gap analysis, and making recommendations for R&D operations improvement
- Support leadership with performance updates, gap identification, and improvement opportunities
- Facilitate communications to ensure stakeholder alignment on goals, deliverables, and features
- Develop and maintain process documentation and analytics changes
- Apply technological and data knowledge to diagnose and improve business and team performance
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
- Master degree and 2 years of experience
- Bachelor degree and 4 years of experience
- Associate degree and 10 years of experience
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience
