Supply Chain Sr. Associate

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 12 months

Compensation: $35/$39 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader's Global Distribution America's Hub team as a critical support expert for business process improvements, outbound/inbound distribution, and operational compliance. Leverage your SAP and SOP experience, project management skills, and strong analytical mindset to guide cross-functional initiatives and ensure GDP/GMP-compliant product supply. This fully remote contract role is perfect for candidates passionate about optimizing clinical logistics and supporting process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute GDP/GMP and business processes for the GD America's Hub with minimal supervision
  • Manage outbound/inbound distribution schedule and prioritize logistics activities
  • Create shipping documents, book couriers, and manage shipping supplies for distributions
  • Track distribution budget and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, forms, and business documentation
  • Provide operational and compliance training to new staff
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings to implement business process improvements
  • Support quality activities such as deviations, CAPAs, root cause assessments, and change controls
  • Ensure effective two-way communication with internal and external stakeholders to maintain product supply
  • Advance departmental goals and participate in key initiatives

Required Experience & Skills

  • SAP experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to learn new tasks and responsibilities quickly
  • Continuous improvement mindset with analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Project management, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • High attention to detail and understanding of clinical study conduct
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines impacting supply (e.g., GxP, SOX)
  • Advanced skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire) and company systems (CDOCS, QMTS)
  • CMIS PMP or CPIM certification

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage daily inbound and outbound distribution activities, including scheduling, shipment processing, transportation document gathering, and courier coordination
  • Ensure compliance with GDP/GMP requirements and support quality activities (deviations, CAPAs, change controls)
  • Monitor budgets, track KPIs, and provide data analysis to support operational decisions
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and business documentation; train staff as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted product supply

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Life Science or Business experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Associate's degree and 6 years of Life Science or Business experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Life Science or Business experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
