Supply Chain Manager

Location: Onsite - Easton, PA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 18 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $58/$64 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Serve as the primary liaison between a big biopharma leader's manufacturing network and its third-party logistics (3PL) partner at a large warehouse site. Drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with cGMP and Safety, and support raw material distribution and process improvement. Lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve supply chain and warehouse issues in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategic partnership with 3PL, serving as on-site liaison between manufacturing sites and logistics provider
  • Develop and execute site operations strategy in collaboration with 3PL leadership, planning, and transportation teams
  • Lead system integration initiatives (SAP and LSP), prepare dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and metrics to measure performance
  • Resolve quality issues within the 3PL warehouse, including damages, packing errors, and temperature excursions
  • Investigate and resolve shipment and ERP exceptions, owning quality records for discrepancies
  • Drive continuous process improvement and advance Operations Excellence activities
  • Communicate inventory status, oversee advanced transactions, and support supply to manufacturing
  • Ensure optimal raw material distribution and 3PL contractual performance
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews, prepare for regulatory inspections, and support audits
  • Lead SOP development and revision, and provide mentorship and training to staff and partners

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Expertise working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines
  • SAP or similar ERP system proficiency
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to resolve exceptions and ensure compliance in a regulated environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in biopharma, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with FDA or governmental agencies
  • Experience developing or revising SOPs
  • Track record of leading business process improvement initiatives

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Act as daily point of contact with 3PL; manage and optimize warehouse operations
  • Oversee SAP and LSP systems integration, reporting KPIs and metrics
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional workstreams with internal teams and 3PL
  • Investigate and resolve quality, shipment, and ERP issues
  • Deliver inventory status updates and continuous process improvements
  • Support manufacturing network with troubleshooting and corrective actions

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
