Summary of the Role
Join a big biopharma leader as a Supply Chain Manager overseeing operations for the Raw Material Center (RMC), a key external warehouse supporting three major manufacturing sites. In this role, you will define raw material inventory strategies, optimize working capital, and ensure uninterrupted supply by proactively managing risk. You’ll coordinate purchase order execution and maintain operational and financial integrity across multiple systems. This is a highly cross-functional position, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage end-to-end raw material inventory strategy for the RMC
- Set and maintain safety stock, buffer, and inventory targets aligned with demand and supplier lead times
- Lead structured supply risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct scenario analyses for allocation and prioritization in constrained situations
- Monitor inventory health, service levels, aging, scrap, excess & obsolete inventory, and investment
- Oversee full lifecycle execution and maintenance of purchase orders in SAP and planning systems
- Resolve discrepancies impacting Receiving, Quality, and Finance (e.g., quantity or delivery mismatches, pricing, three-way match issues)
- Facilitate cross-site inventory and risk review forums; partner with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance
- Develop analytics and dashboards to support KPI governance and executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional and continuous improvement initiatives across sites

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated (GMP) manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management theory and safety stock modeling
- Demonstrated skills using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, RapidResponse, or equivalent)
- Analytical skills with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Leadership in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
- Experience in risk management, scenario modeling, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
