Supply Chain Sr. Associate

Location: Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 9 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $35/$39 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join the Development Supply Chain Technologies (DSCT) team of a large biotech pharmaceutical leader, supporting clinical supply chain operations through SAP/ERP and data management. This position focuses on maintaining data accuracy, resolving system errors, and managing key processes for Clinical Supply Chain Planning, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Distribution. The role is crucial for driving consistency, process improvement, and supporting clinical trial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage error messages between Clinical Supply External Trial Operator Staging Tables and the SAP system to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with business partners to resolve system errors in a timely manner.
  • Update Clinical Master data in SAP to ensure prompt and accurate shipment of clinical finished goods.
  • Monitor Clinical Data Quality reports in Syniti to support system data integrity.
  • Oversee the intake and assignment process for ServiceNow tickets assigned to the DSCT resolver group; categorize tickets for metrics tracking.
  • Maintain DSCT GMP process documents.
  • Manage DSCT team dashboard and meeting agenda using Smartsheet.
  • Organize Order to Cash weekly issues meetings.
  • Serve as backup owner for the SAP Clinical Portal to manage site shipments and product reconciliation.
  • Handle end-of-study reconciliation requests.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience supporting SAP or similar IS systems
  • Proficiency in SAP Clinical Supply Chain operations
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Strong data management and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Order to Cash functionality
  • Experience with SAP Plan to Stock functionality
  • Experience with data query tools such as Cognos
  • Familiarity with IS management tools such as ISM
  • Experience with computerized system validation testing
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet and Copilot
  • Exposure to process automation, RPA implementation, and basic AI functionality

Top 3 Must Have Skills

1. Experience with SAP Order to Cash functionality

2. Experience with SAP Plan to Stock functionality

3. Experience with IS management tools, such as ISM

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage SAP error messages and ensure inventory integrity across systems
  • Update master data and facilitate clinical shipments in SAP
  • Monitor and act on data quality reports using Syniti
  • Triage and assign ServiceNow tickets for the DSCT group
  • Maintain dashboards, agendas, and GMP process documentation
  • Lead weekly meetings on Order to Cash issues
  • Provide SAP Clinical Portal support including reconciliation activities
  • Coordinate end-of-study reconciliation requests

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate or master’s degree and 2 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of SAP and/or IS system experience preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
