Project Management Senior Associate

Location: Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA (any U.S. time zone)

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 13 months

Compensation: $52/$60 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a supplier performance analytics and digital enablement team at a big biopharma leader. This hands-on project manager role leverages data, automation, AI, and process innovation to optimize supplier management and drive operational efficiency. You will work cross-functionally to deliver digital tools, automate workflows, and enable better business outcomes through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance supplier performance dashboards and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Implement automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline supplier management workflows and reporting
  • Ensure strong data governance, organization, and accessibility across SMPA repositories
  • Analyze supplier-related data and process flows to identify trends and optimization opportunities
  • Define and track key supplier performance metrics (KPIs) for quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Sr. Manager SMPA to expand support model across additional functions and supplier groups
  • Support supplier-related initiatives by coordinating project tasks, deliverables, and timelines
  • Deliver actionable business insights to improve efficiency, decision-making, and supplier relationships
  • Lead process automation and workflow improvements to reduce manual effort
  • Document workflows, automation logic, and data models for knowledge transfer

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in data management, visualization, and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver automation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Familiarity with process optimization methodologies
  • Proficiency with visualization and collaboration tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of supplier management practices in R&D, pharma, or biotech
  • Experience with supplier performance tracking and compliance metrics
  • Background in process transformation or digital enablement initiatives

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build and update supplier analytics dashboards
  • Develop and implement automation scripts or AI tools to optimize manual workflows
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met
  • Interpret supplier data, flag trends, and communicate insights to business partners
  • Continuously document and improve workflows for scalability and knowledge sharing

Basic Qualifications

  • Master degree
  • Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience
  • Associate degree and 6 years of experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience
