• This is a lab based 100% onsite role in USTO, Thousand Oaks, CA location. 
• Local candidates to Thousand Oaks required. 
• EW will be working onsite M-F, 8 hrs/day (typically 8-4:30 or 9-5:30 with a 30min lunch). 
• No opportunity for remote work.

Hiring Manager Intake Call Notes :

• How will a typical day look for the engagement worker? They will prioritize the work when they arrive. They are assisting with filing, prepping biomailers for the mail center, shipping samples (which requires delivery to B30 across campus), etc. **Please note that this role is to support the lab in administrative ways, performing very basic tasks. No testing experience is required.
• What type of qualities/characteristics are you looking for in candidates to work best with your team? For this role, someone who is self-motivated and can prioritize based on workload and the needs of the team
• When reviewing resumes, what stands out to you when looking for the right applicants? Organization skills, examples of collaboration and communication. Experience in GMP setting is preferred
• Candidates who are a recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field are encouraged.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, clean, and evaluate product complaint return samples
• Manage complaint return sample inventory including storage and offsite shipment
• Manage shipping material inventory
• Assist with monthly sample destruction cycles
• Support the complaints lab team

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Typically 1 plus years of related quality assurance or manufacturing experience in a GMP pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Evaluate documentation and operation according to company guidelines. Be self motivated, attentive to details and able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Basic project management skills. Independently understand, follow and implement instructions. Written and verbal communication & collaboration skills. Strong word processing, database and spreadsheet application skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or assignments. Role may involve periods of prolonged sitting and standing. Role may involve lifting boxes and storage containers of up to 50lbs. Role may involve transporting samples to different buildings across campus.

Basic Qualifications    

• 0+ Years w/ Relevant BS OR equivalent 2+ Years w/ Relevant AS OR equivalent 4+ Years w/ HS Foundational knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform routine work in a role

Pay Rate  between $22 - $24/Hr on W2 based on experience.
