Ideal candidate will support observational research trials by providing budget, contract, vendor relationship, and procurement management to facilitate smooth coordination among scientists, vendors, and internal groups. Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and organized and possess skills in contract management, budget, and supplier coordination. Corporate experience is a plus to navigate processes effectively, and experience with Smartsheet, SAP, or Ariba is a definite advantage but not necessary. Individuals should be self-starters who initiate without daily supervision while being strong team collaborators. This role is best suited for operations, finance, or procurement specialists who are proficient at managing numerous projects and engaging with different stakeholders remotely.
- We are seeking a Associate, Project Management to join the Operations Team in the Center for Observational Research (CfOR). This role will be responsible for contracting and budgets across multiple geographies. This role will work with other functional teams such as legal, global strategic sourcing, compliance, supplier governance, safety, and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to a team of Observational Research Scientists specializing in real-world evidence projects in multiple regions.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional team, including Legal, Global Strategic Sourcing, Compliance, Supplier Governance, Safety and Finance.
- Execute and manage contracts with commercial suppliers, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions.
- Ensure engagements with (HCPs) Healthcare Professionals and healthcare organizations are fully compliant and adhere to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and country-specific laws.
- Manage payment inquiries that are received from HCPs (Healthcare Professionals), Scientists, Service Providers, etc. Outcome may include further reviews, research, or triage.
- Plan and track study spend, and report changes to finance and budget holders.
- Perform supplier qualifications and assist in competitive bidding process if required.
- Conduct regular meetings with study leads to discuss operational activities.
- Identify potential department/cross functional process improvement activities.
- Track and review study milestones and deliverables ensuring accurate data population within internal systems.
- Execute financial transactions, including purchase order processing, invoice verification, payment processing, and engaging with other functions to help plan and manage resource expenses, using Anaplan, Ariba or SAP software.
- Ensure workflows for responsible areas are updated regularly.
