Associate Project Mgmt Coordinator - AFP

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • The Project Manager provides program management and support for emergency, crisis management business and facilities recovery programs for assigned sites and is accountable to the Global Facilities Operations (GFO) Risk and Business Continuity Director delivering services to site heads and regional GFO Directors.
  • This role will support the Amgen Thousand Oaks, South San Francisco CA, British Columbia, Massachusetts, and Mississauga CN sites. In addition, the role may also support other GFO duties, such as commuter mobility. 
  • Ensure maintenance of effective plans, supplies, and training to sustain bench-strength in key response positions.
  • Prepares program status slides and metrics for Governance meetings.
  • Assist in design and facilitate exercises and incorporate lessons learned.
  • Track and report status of risk mitigation and exercise action items.
  • Participate in response in times of crisis. 
  • Liaison with department team, security, environmental health & safety, site management, volunteer staff and contingent workers, integrated services providers, and external respondents & trainers, on-site and remote. 
Summary:
  • Associates degree or higher and 5 years of operations or 
  • project management experience, or higher 
  • Experience in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery 
  • Plan Management 
  • Excellent Information System Skills, 
  • Metrics and Microsoft Office/PowerPoint/Excel, 
  • SharePoint 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years’ experience in Biotech, pharmaceutical, device or GXP. 
  • Amgen work experience
  • Experience with Continuity Logic Frontline Live business continuity systems. RideAmigos systems experience.
  • Experience with Send Word Now and/or EvenBridge Communication Software
  • Emergency, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, or IS Disaster Recovery certification or training, program or project management. Business analysis, or managing and/or participating in emergency, crisis or risk management, disaster recovery, or business continuity program activities. Medical, Search and Rescue, Haz Mat training or other emergency response team experience.
  • Continuous Improvement experience (Operations Excellence, Value Steam Mapping, Kaizen, Storyboards, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Facilities Management or Engineering or Commuter Transportation program experience.
  • Contract/vendor management or supply chain experience.
  • Invoice processing & budget tracking.
