Job Summary:

BSi maximizes Process Development’s ability to deliver on the highest value opportunities by bridging the business and the science of PD through cross-functional alignment and integrated business insights. We do this through 4 strategic pillars: (1) Data and Systems, (2) Insights and Decision Support, (3) Productivity and Financials, and (4) Operational Strategy.

The Business Performance Manager role will focus on the Insights and Decision Support pillar. In this pillar, BSi delivers insightful business recommendations for PD and Operations decisions by synthesizing data and aligning cross-functionally.

Key responsibilities for the Manager, Business Performance include:

Provide decision support: Develop business cases and strategic analyses to evaluate PD technologies and lifecycle management ideas. Drive alignment PD-wide and cross-functionally by carefully considering inputs, managing uncertainty, and capturing assumptions. Clearly communicate recommendations and present to senior leadership.
Provide project management support: Develop technology project timelines by gathering SME input. Understand the risks and tradeoffs presented in timelines.
Provide business process leadership: Work with our business partners from across Operations, Finance, Commercial, R&D and Strategy to successfully deliver on BSi commitments. Drive processes to ensure that alignment communications are efficient and timely.

Qualifications:
  • Strong quantitative skills including financial analysis (discounted cash flows, NPV)
  • Project management skills to develop timelines based on cross-functional inputs and assumptions
  • Good business acumen, high-level strategic thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multitask; effectively prioritize, plan, and follow through on complex projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of drug development, commercialization and operations planning
  • Demonstrated proficiency in solving complex problems; ability to work independently; proactively seek outside resources and collaborate; team player with strong leadership and decision-making skills
