Job Summary
  • This role will support Amgen’s Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization within Global Business Services. 
  • The Sr. Associate Contract Management supports post contracting activities for specific IS managed service agreements, as well as monitoring compliance to pricing and key commercial terms. 
  • Additionally, the Sr. Associate Contract Management role will provide insight and analysis for strategic contracts and engages in light levels of contracting to support lower dollar purchasing contracts.
  • As a Sr. Associate Contract Management, you will report to the Sourcing Excellence Senior Manager based at Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Post Contracting Activities for Key IS Managed Service Agreements
  • Facilitates contract change requests and ad hoc requests for services
  • Calculates performance credits
  • Manages quarterly budget forecasting and accrual budget submissions to Finance
  • Engages with contract owners and procurement to coordinate and monitor annual purchase orders
  • Provides analysis and feedback to help resolve post-contracting issues
  • Supports contract compliance audits, as required, to ensure proper compliance to negotiated terms and conditions
  • Contract Negotiation for Low Dollar Purchasing Contracts
  • Supports contracting for low dollar purchasing contracts of all types when it has been determined that standard purchase order terms cannot be used
  • Manage red-line reviews and gap analysis
  • Ensure compliance to Amgen’s contracting policies in all activities related to the contracting processes, including proper documentation to support
  • Provide Insight & Analysis for Strategic Contracts
  • Provide summary reports, e.g. contract expirations, contract summaries, etc.
  • Conducts contract reviews to provide Category Managers and stakeholders with insight and analysis on existing contracts for strategic engagement questions
  • Other
  • Coordinates the close out of contracts
  • Miscellaneous contract management and administration
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Sourcing or Finance experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Souring or Finance experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Sourcing or Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge and experience in sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management
  • Ability to understand end-user requirements and determine the best methods for executing contract negotiations
  • Experience in creating contracts and aligning to legal templates and requirements
  • Ability to understand complex contract pricing models and analyze and work with pricing data
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to interface effectively with suppliers and business partners and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data and present insights based on the needs of the audience
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments concurrently and function within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to execute work assignments with minimal direct supervision
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism and ethics, values and standards
