MCS Supply Chain Associate

Contract Length: 8 months

Compensation: $27/$31 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader’s onsite Supply Chain team in Ohio as a Supply Chain Associate focused on procurement and inventory management. Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Sr. Manager, you will drive process improvements, manage order placements, and help ensure the reliable availability of components and packaging materials. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates with relevant degrees seeking broad experience in supply chain operations within biotech manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure printed, packaging components, and raw materials in line with supply chain needs
  • Place, expedite, and negotiate orders with suppliers; resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies
  • Evaluate and process purchase requisitions per established company policies
  • Manage purchase orders, vendor-managed inventory, and supply agreements including monitoring and updating orders
  • Execute moderate complexity projects and identify cost and savings opportunities
  • Maintain purchasing documentation in accordance with cGMP standards
  • Ensure audit compliance readiness for purchase orders and related records
  • Monitor, coordinate, and process goods returns
  • Track, analyze, and communicate operational metrics and performance
  • Respond to and resolve supply chain issues and crises as they arise

  • Self-starter mindset with demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with procurement or inventory management processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate with a relevant degree (business or supply chain related)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in supply chain or procurement
  • No more than 3 years of experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with vendors on open orders
  • Consolidate shipments to maximize transportation savings
  • Monitor and track vendor performance and supply fulfillment

Basic Qualifications

  • High school/GED + 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Associate’s + 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s + 6 months of relevant work experience
