MCS Supply Chain Associate
Location: Hybrid - New Albany, OH
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)
Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)
Compensation: $28/$31 per hour (based on experience)
Summary of the Role
Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader’s Supply Chain team as a Procurement/Inventory Management Associate. Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Sr. Manager, you’ll support order placement, procurement of materials, and cross-functional initiatives to optimize supply chain processes. This hybrid role enables you to drive operational efficiency and supply reliability at the Ohio site.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure printed, packaging components, and raw materials to ensure material availability.
- Place, expedite, and negotiate orders with suppliers; resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies.
- Process purchase requisitions for materials and services in compliance with company policies.
- Manage and monitor purchase orders, vendor-managed inventory, and supply agreements.
- Participate in or lead special projects to identify cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain purchasing documentation to cGMP standards for audit compliance readiness.
- Organize, analyze, and communicate operational performance metrics and data.
- Monitor and coordinate returns of goods and ensure supply chain audit-readiness.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to crises, competing objectives, and resource constraints.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in procurement and inventory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; quick and accurate responses; escalation when necessary.
- Proficient user of enterprise software systems, especially SAP, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Demonstrates strong analytical ability and consistent follow-up.
- Highly organized, able to balance multiple priorities and meet deliverables.
- Technically proficient and able to adapt to new systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support inbound vendor management of Purchase Orders for commercial manufacturing and offsite test material storage.
- Work onsite across both AOH sites, collaborating with procurement and warehouse inventory teams.
- Contribute to daily operations to ensure ongoing supply reliability and process efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- High school/GED + 4 years of relevant work experience
- Associate’s + 2 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s + 6 months of relevant work experience
