MCS Supply Chain Associate
Location: Onsite - Thousand Oaks, CA
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)
Contract Length: 7 months (possible extension)
Compensation: $26/$30 per hour (based on experience)
Summary of the Role
Support the dispensing team at a big biopharma leader's Thousand Oaks site in a warehouse-based, fast-paced environment. Responsible for processing, picking, dispensing, staging, and delivering materials for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Requires attention to detail and adherence to cGMP, GDP, SOPs, safety, and cleanroom protocols. This position features a rotating day/swing shift, and flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow SOPs and departmental procedures with strict adherence to cGMP requirements
- Pick, dispense, stage, and deliver materials for manufacturing
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) safely; complete onsite PIV training as needed
- Gown to Grade 8-9 standards and work in classified dispensary areas
- Identify and escalate risks related to dispensing, warehouse, or manufacturing support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on warehousing and dispensing operations
- Support continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence initiatives
- Assist during regulatory inspections and present information to auditors as required
- Maintain Kanban systems and support external warehouse operations
- Complete all transactions promptly, accurately, and in compliance with procedures
Required Experience & Skills
- Availability for rotating day/swing, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Ability to work under general direction and ask for assistance when needed
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull heavy loads with material handling equipment
- Proficient math skills and commitment to safety
- Ability to work flexibly in an onsite, warehouse, and cleanroom-adjacent environment
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree
- GMP/GDP experience in quality, dispensing, manufacturing, warehousing, or shipping
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience revising documentation in CDOCS
- Knowledge of DQMS and QMTS (including deviation investigations and CAPAs)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Powered Industrial Vehicle operation
- Familiarity with scales and weighing operations
- Experience gathering metrics, preparing reports, and presenting findings
- ERP systems, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams proficiency
- Participation in internal operational excellence projects

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and 2 years work or military experience
- Associates degree and 6 months work or military experience
