Day to Day Responsibilities:
The worker will play a key role in expanding coverage of our real-time multivariate monitoring program at Amgen.
He or she will explore and curate manufacturing data to create statistical models that represent expected performance of unit operations, and then follow GMP procedures to make those models available for real-time monitoring by Amgen staff across the world.

Candidate would have MS is Engineering and have the basic understanding/knowledge of Bio/Pharmaceutical industry. This person will be responsible for providing support to advance Amgen's real-time multivariate process monitoring and process verification programs by building statistical models and leading their implementation through collaborations with manufacturing sites around the world. Data-based modeling expertise is required for the role. The position will be based in Thousand Oaks, CA and he/she will be part of Digital Integration & Predictive Technologies (DIPT) organization in Process Development. Support will include organizing and analyzing data using statistical techniques, and data acquisition from primary or secondary data sources. Training on specific modeling software and Amgen's information systems will be provided.

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree
Bachelor’s degree & 2 years of directly related experience
Associate’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience
High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications
M.Sc., in Engineering or Life Sciences, preferably with expertise in bio/pharmaceutical processes.
Expertise in multivariate data analysis and predictive modeling.
Experience working with large data sets, data mining and machine learning tools
Experience in Matlab, Python and/or R Programming Languages and basic Microsoft tools.
Understanding of bio-pharmaceuticals process, related unit operations including analytical methods and process controls.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in project environments, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration.
Team player, prepared to work in and embrace a team-based culture that relies on collaboration for effective decision-making
Solid leadership, technical writing, and communication/presentation skills.
