Project Manager 

Amgen’s Customer Experience (CX) group is looking for a Project Manager resource, located at Amgen’s site in Thousand Oaks, CA. 

Working within a highly regulated pharmaceutical arena, CX team members are building new organizational capabilities. CX focus currently spans two areas of expertise: 1) the Amgen Injection/Delivery Experience; 2) the Competitive Customer Experience. Each area has specific expertise and deliverables. 

The CX Project Manager will be responsible for project managing the CX Design Strategy team through cross-functional and cross-regional programs, create systems to support training and procedure development, manage external vendors, assist with budget planning and tracking. The role will facilitate work with cross-functional teams to develop program strategy, metrics, and reports to inform project plans and track execution on defined CX objectives and goals. 

The role will support an insight-based and human-centered approach to problem and solution identification. Once opportunities have been prioritized, the role works alongside CX team members to monitor and assist with the identification of root cause issues and viable options for integrated concept solutions. The role involves communication with a range of stakeholders including global marketing, market research, country/regional business, regulatory, legal, and more. 

The Project Manager will support the CX group in various aspects of activities for multiple team members such as: 
- Manage respective timelines 
- Coordinate program information and deliverables with key stakeholders 
- Develop presentations for executive and regional/country leadership meetings 
- Assist with support/contract management of external vendors including developing RFPs, reviewing SOWs, and invoice management 
- Prepare metrics/dashboards 
- Document procedures and develop process standards 
- Coordinate and provide logistical support/contract management for meetings and events 

Master’s degree and 2 years of project management experience 
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of project management experience 
Associate’s degree and 10 years of project management experience 
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of project management experience 

- Project management with expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
- Ability to apply strategic planning concepts 
- Navigate matrixed organization 
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors 
- Familiarity with health care, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology
