Ability to conduct analytical and preparative separations of biomolecules. Perform experiments, record and organize data, and analyze results under minimal supervision.

  • Monitors or follows established experimental design and protocols and performs routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision.
  • Plans, monitors or conducts, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data.
  • Develops and implements new methods with moderate review.
  • Communicates data and interpretation to work group, while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment and major laboratory instruments/techniques to include HPLC-UV and HPLC-MS.
  • Effectively troubleshoots equipment and experimental difficulties.
  • Constantly maintains attention to safety.
  • Understands when to seek input and when to make independent judgments.
  • Has the ability to multitask and work in an environment requiring aggressive timelines.

BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related disciplines, with at least 3 years of relevant experience with an emphasis in purification science or a candidate with an MS and 2 years of experience. Knowledge of HPLC and HPLC-MS is highly desired.
