MCS Supply Chain Associate

Location: Hybrid - New Albany, OH

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $28/$31 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader’s Supply Chain team as a Supply Chain Associate Procurement/Inventory Management professional. In this role, you will support critical procurement, order management, and inventory functions to ensure the availability of components and packaging materials at the Ohio site. You will collaborate across functions, drive process improvements, and ensure smooth operations to support patient-focused manufacturing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure printed, packaging components, and raw materials
  • Place, expedite, and negotiate orders with suppliers
  • Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies
  • Process purchase requisitions in compliance with company policies
  • Manage purchase orders, vendor-managed inventory, and other supply agreements
  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives to improve planning processes
  • Maintain purchasing documentation to cGMP standards and ensure audit readiness
  • Monitor and coordinate return of goods
  • Organize, analyze, and communicate metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Respond effectively to crises and resolve issues arising from competing objectives

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong communication skills with quick, accurate response and escalation abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Proficient in SAP, Smartsheets, Microsoft Outlook, and related software applications
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work innovatively to solve problems within business and manufacturing practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in supply chain/procurement roles
  • Familiarity with vendor management protocols
  • Experience supporting commercial manufacturing environments

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support inbound vendor management of Purchase Orders for commercial manufacturing and offsite test material storage
  • Work onsite at multiple facilities to ensure effective material flow and order processing

Basic Qualifications

  • High school/GED + 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Associate’s degree + 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree + 6 months of relevant work experience
