Organizational Effectiveness Manager

Location: Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA (EST preferred)

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 4 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $63/$71 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as an Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Manager focused on organizational change management and communications. As a change management expert, you will create and execute change strategies, enable effective adoption of new technology and processes, and facilitate communications between project teams and business partners. This role is critical to delivering successful transformation across the Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute organizational change management and communications strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead change initiatives and consult with product teams to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems
  • Create, maintain, and implement actionable communication and enablement plans
  • Collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to align goals and execute deliverables
  • Draft, review, and distribute content for change management initiatives
  • Analyze feedback and adjust change strategies for agile project needs
  • Identify potential disruptions, assess their impact, and propose mitigation tactics
  • Serve as a liaison between multiple communication channels and teams

Required Experience & Skills

  • More than five years of direct experience in organizational change management
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proven success in developing actionable and targeted communication and enablement plans
  • Skilled problem-solver with the ability to offer clear solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira

1. Significant organizational change management experience (not project management)

2. Strong skills in navigating and facilitating communication among multiple stakeholders

3. Expertise in developing and executing targeted change and enablement plans

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication and enablement plans
  • Engage with sponsors, stakeholders, and teams to drive alignment and deliverables
  • Draft and send change-related communications
  • Analyze feedback and adapt change strategy as necessary
  • Identify potential barriers to change and develop mitigation strategies
