Project Manager

Location: Remote - Deerfield, IL

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 2 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $65/$73 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join a big biopharma leader as a senior-level project coordinator supporting a planned project related to site transitions and amenities. This role bridges internal and external stakeholders, provides advanced project tracking, and brings strong consulting rigor to cross-functional initiatives. Occasional travel to the office may be required for key in-person meetings or events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track progress on outstanding tasks assigned to cross-functional contributors
  • Facilitate clear and efficient communication between internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and update action-item logs, documenting owners, dates, status, and follow-ups
  • Lead and manage notes for recurring internal project meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Attend external stakeholder meetings and capture detailed meeting notes
  • Proactively identify process and communication gaps, suggesting improvements
  • Support new workstreams as identified, including documentation or vendor service contract management
  • Ensure consistent and up-to-date documentation using digital note-taking tools
  • Assist with external tenant requests and coordinate amenities or services implementation

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects within large or complex organizations
  • Advanced consulting background, ideally with big firm experience
  • High proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong, real-time meeting note-taking and action tracking skills
  • Excellent proactive communication and issue escalation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate meetings, ensuring decision tracking and accountability
  • Schedule flexibility and ability to accommodate shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting site transitions or facilities management workstreams
  • Familiarity with amenities implementation and external tenant coordination
  • Experience in a biotech/pharma or highly regulated industry

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, coordinate, and document cross-functional meetings related to site transitions
  • Track and oversee completion of action items across multiple stakeholders and escalate as needed
  • Maintain structure, ensure accountability, and keep project workstreams on track

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
