Summary of the Role
Serve as the Global Transportation Manager for Americas with a major biopharma leader, focusing on oversight, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards for transportation service providers. This role leads supplier relationships, supports regulatory compliance, and drives excellence in transportation operations using data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
	- Act as key contact and relationship manager for designated GTX carriers and transportation suppliers
 
	- Lead performance reviews and regular business assessments with supply chain partners
 
	- Develop, implement, and maintain best-in-class, cost-effective, and GDP-compliant transportation solutions
 
	- Support internal stakeholders with supplier escalations and issue resolution
 
	- Analyze transportation data (leveraging SAP TM system) to identify improvements and drive process enhancements
 
	- Document and update transportation procedures for product movement from source to customer
 
	- Initiate and manage projects focused on compliance, service improvement, and operational efficiencies
 
	- Investigate transportation incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee CAPA implementation
 
	- Support logistics audits and respond to audit requests for the Americas region
 
	- Monitor and improve KPIs and performance statistics relating to transportation operations
 
Required Experience & Skills
	- Bachelor's degree (preferably in logistics or engineering) or equivalent extensive industry experience
 
	- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, cold chain, and/or transportation
 
	- Strong project management skills across departments and geographies
 
	- Experience managing suppliers and driving process improvement
 
	- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel
 
	- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and collaboratively in teams
 
	- Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)
 
	- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and persuasion skills
 
	- Proven track record of delivering results in a data-driven environment
 
	- High sense of responsibility and problem-solving ability
 
Preferred Qualifications
	- GMP and GDP knowledge
 
	- Familiarity with Operational Excellence tools, Six Sigma, FMEA
 
	- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., SAP TM) and BW
 
	- Experience establishing service level agreements
 
	- Strong technical writing skills

	- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements
 
Basic Qualifications
	- Doctorate degree OR
 
	- Master’s degree and 2 years of experience OR
 
	- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience OR
 
	- Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience OR
 
	- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
