Location: Remote - Aliquippa, PA (any U.S. timezone, standard business hours)

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 2 months (possible extension)

Compensation: $73/$84 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join a fast-paced team as an Instructional Designer for a complex, short-term project with a leading biopharma company. Collaborate virtually with subject matter experts to design and develop interactive online training materials, focusing on compliance and inspection readiness. Leverage your expertise with eLearning tools to enhance staff learning experiences through the company’s Learning Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate virtually with subject matter experts to develop instructional materials for online clinical trial courses.
  • Design and revise engaging storyboards, simulations, and multimedia assets to enrich eLearning modules.
  • Align course content with learning objectives and best practices in instructional design.
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate with training content experts for on-time delivery.
  • Engage in cross-functional team meetings to achieve project milestones.
  • Work within a fast-moving instructional design team to address evolving project requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of instructional design experience with a focus on interactive content development.
  • High proficiency in Articulate Rise & Storyline, Captivate, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong project management capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing training content for a corporate LMS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or related field.
  • Experience working in biotech, pharmaceutical, GxP, or other highly regulated industries.

1. Exceptional communication and strong project management skills in a cross-functional environment.

2. Mastery of Articulate Rise & Storyline, Captivate, and Adobe Illustrator.

3. Experience in highly regulated industries such as biotech or pharmaceutical.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Partner with training experts to simplify and create online instructional content for clinical trials.
  • Develop and update interactive storyboards and multimedia materials supporting learning objectives.
  • Ensure content meets instructional design standards and project delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of instructional design experience
  • or Master’s degree and 5 years of instructional design experience
  • or Associate’s degree and 9 years of instructional design experience
  • or High school diploma and 11 years of instructional design experience
