Project Manager – CMC / Attribute Sciences
Location: Hybrid preferred, Cambridge, MA (about 1 day per week onsite; rest remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)
Compensation: $65 - $74 per hour (based on experience)

Summary of the Role
Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Project Manager supporting Attribute Sciences within the program. You will manage multiple projects across CMC or process development, partner with diverse project leads, and drive plans, timelines, and reporting. Success requires strong Smartsheet and Excel skills, clear communication, and the ability to operate independently in a complex, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage medium to large projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints

  • Plan and run all phases: feasibility, requirements, analysis, ROI, business case, design, testing, and implementation planning

  • Allocate resources, coordinate cross-functional teams, and engage management regularly

  • Document requirements and objectives; manage external resources when needed

  • Maintain project schedules, risks, issues, and status reporting in Smartsheet and Excel

  • Partner with Attribute Sciences leads to keep plans current and aligned

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2 to 5 years of project management experience in biotech, with CMC or process development exposure

  • Proficiency with Smartsheet and Excel; strong skills in MS Project, Word, Visio, PowerPoint

  • Strong communicator who can partner across a diverse set of project leads

  • Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations; assertive and diplomatic

  • Highly organized, independent contributor who can manage several efforts at once

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mid-size to large biotech organizations

  • Knowledge of collaboration systems and best practices for sharing and documentation

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Partner with Attribute Sciences team leads to draft and maintain project plans

  • Attend project meetings and adjust plans based on decisions and changes
