Security Manager

Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Site Emergency & Crisis Management Program Manager. This role oversees emergency and crisis management programs for the site, ensuring readiness, compliance, and alignment with global security best practices. The successful candidate will lead plan development, stakeholder training, and incident response activities while maintaining strong collaboration across internal and external teams.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management

    • Ensure success, alignment, and growth of emergency and crisis management programs

    • Develop and maintain key internal and external partnerships

  • Emergency & Crisis Plan Management

    • Update Emergency Management Plans (EMP), Emergency Action Plans (EAP), and Crisis Management Plans (CM) to current standards

    • Communicate changes and maintain latest versions in controlled repositories

  • Site Incident Assessment

    • Coordinate with Site Senior Security Manager and contract security leadership for real-time incident awareness

    • Serve as liaison during on-site emergencies or crises, supporting response efforts

  • Training & Development

    • Develop and deliver emergency and crisis management training for staff and stakeholders

    • Maintain training records and measure effectiveness


Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 2 years of security, program planning, or management experience, OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of security, program planning, or management experience, OR

  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of security, program planning, or management experience, OR

  • High school diploma/GED and 12 years of security, program planning, or management experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as field team leader, incident commander, and/or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Leader during live incidents

  • Certifications in FEMA IS 100, 200, 700, and 800

  • Knowledge of CERT, USAR, ICS, FEMA, and related certification programs

  • EMT or equivalent medical certification

  • Experience launching programs, creating documentation, and delivering trainings

  • Strong background in instructor-led and virtual training delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in dynamic or stressful environments

  • Experience conducting emergency evacuations, triage, accountability, and crisis response

  • Strong presentation and communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Skilled in project/program management and problem solving under pressure

  • Familiarity with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PDF


Top 3 Must Have Skills:

  1. Experience as field team leader, incident commander, or Emergency Operations Center leader during live (non-training) incidents

  2. Knowledge of CERT, USAR, ICS, FEMA, and other certification programs

  3. Ability to clearly communicate and demonstrate related hands-on experience


Pay Rate: Open Market Rate
