Associate / Senior Associate to work in the Pathology Lab in the Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences Department in South San Francisco, CA. The Associate will lead histology workflows to support portfolio related questions on target expression and preclinical model development.
Responsibilities include:
Leads and manages workflows for histology preparation of specimens, including all documentation in required lab information systems and databases, as well as team communications.
Creates documentation for sample grossing and embedding with guidance by team members.
Performs tasks related to fixation and processing of specimens, quality control on all stained slides.
Requests digital scanning of slides and organizes images in database for review by team members.
Maintains equipment and performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
0+ Years w/ Relevant MS OR equivalent 2+ Years w/ Relevant BS OR equivalent 4+ Years w/ Relevant AS OR equivalent 6+ Years w/ HS
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
One or more years’ experience in Histology/Pathology laboratory. Hands-on experience of staining techniques and familiarity with reagents.
Experience in documentation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data generated from tissue-based target expression experiments with a variety of statistical approaches.
Excellent communication skills.
Science degree
Should have basic laboratory experience
Animal tissue experience or animal anatomy knowledge is not required but will stand out (this group supports animal study)
Pay Rate between $27 - $31/Hr on W2 based on experience.
