Provides general laboratory support to the Pivotal Biologics Drug Substance Laboratories.
Responsibilities include:
Management of the BST laboratories
Drive organization and improve productivity of facility through adherence to 5S principles.
Create and maintain digital lab occupancy plans (equipment, consumables, and personnel).
Initiate, coordinate, and track through completion work orders for facility and equipment repairs, maintenance, installation, and removal.
Coordinate/participate in scheduled lab cleanout activities (biannual) and safety walkthroughs (monthly).
Equipment and Instrument Owner
Coordinate preventative maintenance, calibration, daily system initializations, and repair service of equipment and instruments
Maintain process-related instrumentation, lab automation tools, reactor equipment and stocking of parts, accessories, and point-of-use consumables
Support laboratory/equipment software installations and upgrades/updates
Maintain online tracking tool to manage instrument usage and operational status.
Inventory Maintenance and Chemical/Equipment Ordering & Shipping
Order and organize laboratory reagents and consumables to support laboratory experimentation
Generate purchase orders, chemical shipping documents, and equipment orders
Handle incoming/outgoing shipments of tools, ancillary processing equipment, and consumables and chemicals.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree OR Master degree and 3 years of experience OR Bachelor degree and 5 years of experience OR Associate degree and 10 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience.
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
Experience with inventory equipment management (Maximo is preferred not required)
This person will organize equipment maintenance schedules and inventory management and ensure accuracy within systems of inventory.
