Day to Day Responsibilities

• Support development of the business case and environmental sustainability initiatives through our suppliers and in alignment with our internal strategy and timelines.
• Oversee Scope 3 program to track progress, including ability to build reputation and create business value.
• Collaborate with the company’s internal functions to develop a coordinated ESG or Environmental Sustainability plan.
• Secure and leverage senior level commitment and support for integrating sustainable development
• into core processes and decision-making related to suppliers.
• Support driving Amgen’s overarching environment short- and long-range view; including policy, procedures, governance, performance measurements, evaluation and reporting.
• Assess current and emerging global environment issues and drive and facilitate the supplier engagement and education.
• Create and implement communication strategies to publicize the company’s supplier engagement related to environmental sustainability effort and promote broad awareness of environment initiatives, both internally and externally.
• Measure and monitor suppliers progress against strategies, objectives and performance targets.
