Day Day Responsibilities:        
  • Primary responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with development, advancement and implementation of the safety and health programs and strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus.
  • Advancing core safety and health programs manage EHSS risks primarily around industrial safety including:
  • Confined Space,
  • Hot Work,
  • Fall Protection,
  • LOTO,
  • Electrical Safety
  • Summary
  • We are looking for an experienced professional in the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) group to lead safety and health programs at our Thousand Oaks location. The successful candidate will:
  • Be responsible for the continuous improvement of industrial safety programs across the Thousand Oaks campus
  • Provide expert level assessment support across the campus
  • Assist in developing and implementing a safety and health strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills; have a strong understanding of industrial safety principles and a proven track record in maturing programs and processes. The position requires the ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence management across many functions.

Basic Qualifications:
EHS bachelor’s degree & 5 years of experience in EHSS supporting safety and health programs
Strong understanding of Chemical and Biological manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Strong leadership and team building skills
Process driven with a strong Operational Excellence mindset
Strong communication and presentation skills, action oriented, self-starting, program development and project management
Strong technical writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software systems

Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry leading industrial programs
Experience implementing and supporting safety and health programs
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence management
Strong verbal & written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate cross functionally.
