Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: initiate and manage work orders related to equipment or facility; manage the end to end asset life-cycle from installation to retirement; support the scientific community to reduce their administrative burden; act as conduit between functional areas and various operational support resources.
Additionally, this role will participate in the collection and evaluation of lab instrument analytics; including utilization, down time and cost to own.
Qualified staff will also support lab relocation's and modifications by assisting in the coordination of equipment relocation's, decommissions and re-installations. May assist with special projects as assigned.
Provides general laboratory support to the Research and Development laboratories.
This candidate will report into Research Lab Operations site leads and will work closely with key contacts in Research laboratory functions and Research Lab Operations team members.
This resource will interface with the scientific communities and critical resource groups like Lab Asset Management Program (LAMP), Lab Consumables and Scientific Services (LCSS), EHSS, Facilities and purchasing to name a few.

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred with 2-4 years of experience related to laboratory support or project management.
The overall physical exertion of this position requires:
Sit or stand 2-3 hours in laboratory areas.
Walk 2-3 hours within a facility.
Reach above/below the shoulder, bend at the knees and waist.
Lift up to 25 lbs.
Office work activities, including keyboard, with fingers/hands/arms up to 4 hours.
Work around moving laboratory equipment and machinery.
Use of personal protective equipment in laboratory.
Work in areas containing biohazards such as blood borne pathogens.
Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment.
Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
Employee maybe required to manage hazardous wastes in compliance with company procedures & State/Federal/Local hazardous waste regulations.
Duties may include: Identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, labeling.
Ensure safety, security, and the environment in all aspect of the daily activities, and any potential safety hazards are addressed and corrected immediately.
Understand ergonomic relationship between people, equipment and working environment.
