The objective would be to manage projects, agile teams, and organizational processes.
The expectations for the first 30 days include:
Understanding of Amgen’s processes including PMLC and scrum methodology
Understanding of EEA’s platforms
Start managing projects and processes as assigned and report progress to management
Project management experience, scrum master, agile, devops experience. Good understanding of project management process and has the ability to view the project from all perspectives.
Amgen’s Enterprise Engineering and Analytics (EEA) team is seeking an Project Manager to lead and execute cross-functional information technology related programs, projects and processes within the function.
The role will be based out of Amgen’s capability center (ACC) in Tampa, FL.
The Engagement Manager will report to the lead of EEA’s Project Management Office (PMO) and dotted line into EEA’s ACC Lead.
Enterprise Engineering and Analytics' (EEA) mission is to advance Amgen’s ability to build intelligent solutions and generate insights by partnering with clients in both the business and other IS functions to build enterprise grade software engineering and analytics platforms that can be leveraged across Amgen.
The Project Manager works closely across IS (Information Systems) teams to lead and deliver program and project management services through all phases of the
Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC), which include – initiation, planning, development, execution, control and rollout. S/he is responsible for successful delivery, cost management, resource management, and risk management to drive business outcomes that provide exceptional value to users.
The Project Manager is expected to use good judgement and experience in blending traditional project management principles with an Agile development approach for these complex,mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
Lead and manage enterprise-level programs and projects across multiple stakeholder teams to achieve high level of performance and quality
Develop and execute on project plans, risk management plans, and other project governance processes and procedures.
Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management.
Deliver successfully against project schedule, scope, and financial commitments.
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders for project allocation, scheduling, problem/conflict resolution, and related project activities.
Maintain budgetary responsibility of projects
Form strong relationships and work collaboratively with multiple areas across the enterprise.
Participate in the strategy, planning, and execution by directing and coordinating program and project activities.
This includes working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure goals are accomplished and drive valuable business outcomes
This role is required to work from Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL, Monday through Friday.
