Web Applications Engineer

The Senior Web Applications Engineer provides programming support to the firmware/software department. This position reports to the Vice President, Software Engineering or Software Engineering Manager
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Reviews project/feature requirements and provides feedback
* Reviews and understands network protocols and interfaces
* Designs and scopes features and enhancements for server and web service portions of projects
* Develops software according to web services best practices in a timely manner
* Implements SW (unit) tests, confirms and records results
* Creates and maintains release binaries and documentation
* Works with Test group to support integration and regression testing
* Supports troubleshooting with firmware engineers and FAEs

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
The work environment includes moderate computer related noise levels, paper and equipment generated dust and the use of cleaning fluids and other materials for cleaning equipment. The employee works with electric, electronic and mechanical equipment. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. The employee may be required to work various shifts and/or weekends as required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear and see with or without corrective lens. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods. The position may require lifting of paper and equipment (30-50 pounds). The position may require the ability to operate and monitor multiple computer systems and peripheral devices concurrently. * Bachelor’s Degree.
* .NET or Java Programming Expertise
* Experience utilizing IP networking
* Experience with cloud-based computing platforms
