The role of Sr. Associate, Compliance will participate in performing tasks associated with business processes relating to Amgen’s interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
This individual will perform compliance assessments and transactional reviews consistent with Amgen’s Healthcare Compliance Policy and Standard Operating Procedures.
The applicant will
Develop and maintain working knowledge of Amgen’s Healthcare Compliance Policy and Standard Operating Procedures
Develop and maintain expert knowledge and understanding U.S. Federal (Sunshine Act / Open Payments) and State Transparency laws and regulations and the PhRMA Code
Apply knowledge of the above to Amgen business processes that involve Transfers of Value (TOV) to Healthcare Professionals
Apply analytical skills and tools (e.g Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python) to large amounts of data, seeking insights
Perform transactional review to ensure complete and accurate records for submission to regulatory authorities (e.g. CMS, State and local government entities)
Access various Amgen source systems (e.g. SAP, Concur, Salesforce.com) to gather information required to make assessments on transactions
Perform Data Quality analysis to identify, triage and where appropriate, escalate business or systems issues needing resolution
Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide implementation proposals, and manage multiple assignments at one time
Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with projects and key activities in collaboration with cross-functional business partners including Commercial, R&D and IS

This is an in demand specialization and very cross functional role as they will have the opportunity to work with AP processing team, field reps, and brand teams touches a lot of other areas at Amgen as well.
Master’s degree OR
Bachelor’s degree & 2 years of Compliance, Audit, Operations, Business or IT experience; OR
Associate’s degree & 6 years of Compliance, Audit, Operations, Business or IT experience; OR
High school diploma / GED & 8 years of Compliance, Audit, Operations, Business or IT experience
Good written and verbal communications skills
Attention to detail, analytical mindset and process oriented
Experience with reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects, SQL, Excel)
Ability to prioritize, be proactive, resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, follow through on assignments, and be a team player.
Ability to independently understand, follow and implement complex instructions.
Knowledge of the healthcare industry, recent federal and state enforcement activities, and the laws and regulations relating to the development, approval, and commercialization of biotechnology/pharmaceutical products is a plus.
