Must Have Skill Sets:
  • At least 3 years experience in administration of financial plans
  • At least 3 years experience in administration of benefit plans
  • At least 3 years experience in vendor management/administrationy reports.
Day to Day Responsibilities:    
Provide support to Sr. Benefit Associates on routine tasks; provide support on the biweekly funding processes; respond to benefit-related inquires from vendor partners and staff members; special projects as assigned - i.e. locating missing participants, address clean-ups, etc.

  • Seeking a Benefits of Health and Retirement Programs to join the Employee Services organization and will be responsible for interacting closely with colleagues in Human Resources and Finance to provide quality services to staff internally, while collaborating with external partners to ensure a compliant administration of Amgen’s Retirement Programs and Amgen’s US health and welfare benefits.
  • In conjunction with payroll and an outside vendor, this person will support Amgen’s qualified and nonqualified retirement plans which includes but is not limited to: supporting the annual nonqualified retirement plan distributions and coordinate bi-weekly funding process management for retirement plans.
  • The incumbent will also be responsible for coordinating the US annual enrollment process, including system set up organization activities with vendors.
  • This person will report to the Benefits Manager based at Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL.

  • Our service scope includes a wide array of employee touching corporate services ranging from; Staffing Operations, Benefits Administration, Payroll, HR Technology, Learning Operations, Mobility, Travel, Expense and Meetings Management among several others.
  • By bringing these services and activities together under one organization, the Employee Services team aims to improve collaboration, share best practices, innovate and streamline processes in these areas for the entire enterprise.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinates changes in benefit policy
  • Maintains US benefit documentation updating policy and programs in partnership with Center of Excellence teams
  • Maintains User Acceptance Testing with outsourced vendors
  • Coordinates compliance filings (5500s, etc.)
  • Supports associated audits (SOX etc.)
  • Maintains and updates desk procedures
  • Supports development and distribution of benefits communications
  • Supports implementation of new programs and administrative processes
  • Collaborates directly with external partners to ensure payments to employees while maintaining compliant administration of benefits
  • May assist auditors, both internal and external
  • Responds to employees’ escalated retirement benefits queries while providing excellent customer service to a diverse and demanding customer base
  • Assists the Sr. Benefit Associates with day-to-day duties
